LogRhythm ’ s RhythmWorld breaks attendance records with 300 % increase

Taiwan ’ s Chunghwa Telecom recognized for innovation by Red Hat

Chunghwa Telecom has been recognized at the Red Hat Forum Asia Pacific 2020 for its innovative use of Red Hat solutions .

Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan had found it challenging to centrally manage its multiple data centers and ensure operational efficiency . This spurred the telco to move its mobile business group ’ s legacy business support systems ( BSS ) to private cloud , and migrate some existing applications to a new microservices architecture by using Red Hat OpenShift , Red Hat Fuse , Red Hat AMQ , Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and Red Hat Enterprise Linux .

LogRhythm , a company powering today ’ s security operations centers ( SOCs ), announced a record-breaking attendance at its 2020 RhythmWorld Security Conference , with more than a 300 % increase in attendance from the previous year . The virtual conference provided customers , partners and peers with the opportunity to engage in discussion around key topics related to the cybersecurity industry , career growth and maximizing use of the LogRhythm NextGen SIEM Platform .

LogRhythm opened up the event from what used to be strictly a user conference into a broader event with relevance to the security industry at large . “ If you truly want to change things in terms of cybersecurity , you have to be the catalyst for change and have resilience and grit . Security professionals must also hone their leadership skills to effectively inspire their team , as building a cybersecurity strategy requires both internal stakeholders ’ endorsement and engagement to shape the strategy that is fit for the organization ,” said Abid Adam , Group Chief Risk and Compliance Officer , Axiata Group Berhad .
“ In developing this , we recognize the strong support received from the LogRhythm team . They have played a significant role in creating a product that is effective for the group , and I believe our organization is now even better prepared in identifying and responding to cyberthreats .”
The new microservices architecture allowed Chunghwa Telecom ’ s mobile business group to shorten its software development life cycle from three months to 14 days . It has also reduced its services deployment time from one day to 10 minutes .
Dr Cheng Jeu-Yih , CIO , Chunghwa Telecom , said : “ Modernizing our BSS with Red Hat ’ s flexible open source solutions has given us the confidence to be able to adapt to changing customer expectations quickly and effectively . With containerbased microservices and a cloud-native architecture , we can deliver IT services faster and accelerate speed to market to delight customers .”
