NEXTDC announces new 300MW facility for Sydney central business district and close to a major electricity substation . The site covers approximately 124,000 sqm . Subject to development approval , it is expected to accommodate a data center facility that will target 300 MW of capacity , in addition to housing its customers ’ mission critical operation centers , mission critical operations offices and collaboration spaces .

NEXTDC has announced a major milestone in its long-term data center development strategy , securing a new data center site in western Sydney .

S4 Sydney is a significant expansion opportunity that will provide data center services to hyperscale cloud providers in a new Availability Zone within the Sydney market not currently serviced by
NEXTDC ’ s existing data centers ( S1 , S2 and S3 , which are under development ).
S4 will also play a critical role in enabling enterprise and government customers to scale their critical infrastructure platforms in this important digital gateway region .
Located in Horsley Park , S4 will be approximately 42 km west of Sydney ’ s
During the development phase of S4 over several years , NEXTDC is expected to generate more than 500 new jobs for the New South Wales economy .

Digital Realty expands operations in South Korea

Digital Realty has acquired a land parcel in Seoul , South Korea , to support the development of up to 64 megawatts of critical IT capacity .

The parcel is located at Gurae-dong , Gimpo City in northwest Seoul , approximately 23 kms from Digital Seoul 1 ( ICN10 ), Digital Realty ’ s first facility in South Korea which is currently under construction and scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2021 .
The new , multi-story facility , Digital Seoul 2 ( ICN11 ), is expected to encompass 970,000 square feet and be fully operational and offer more opportunities for domestic and international companies to expand their digital capabilities across South Korea by the first half of 2023 .
The carrier-neutral campus will form a key building block in the development of the industry ’ s largest open fabric of fabrics , providing access to the rich connected data community on PlatformDIGITAL with over 4,000 participants in 47 metros across 24 countries .
