HKU SPACE , Alibaba Cloud and SEED Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a three-level cloud computing course for secondary school students in Hong Kong . The collaboration will launch a series of cloud computing-related courses designed for local secondary school students to provide early access to knowledge in technology and cloud computing for younger generations .
The courses provide a comprehensive introduction to cloud computing across three levels , and students are not required to have any background in technology to enrol . Starting with more fundamental concepts of IT and cloud computing elements in the bridging level , the beginner and advanced levels will focus on more advanced IT and cloud operations and management topics .
Appian has announced the opening of its new product development center in Chennai , India . The office is staffed by Appian Engineers , including product managers , software developers , quality engineers and user experience designers . These experts will deliver new capabilities and features to expand the Appian Low-Code Platform . Appian is headquartered in McLean , Virginia , USA . It is a global leader in low-code . This contributes to the growth of retail and wholesale colocation services in the Thai digital space . FiberSense , a leading infrastructure sensing and monitoring company , has shared remarkable high-resolution results in its detection of the magnitude 5.8 Cook Strait earthquake that occurred 70km northwest of Wellington , New Zealand on September 22 . Founder and CEO of FiberSense , Mark Englund , said : “ Our DigitalSeismic sensing service that we have operating on fiber optic telecoms cables in Wellington detected a range of activity from the earthquake centered on the Cook Strait . We cross-referenced our measurements with the records of the official earthquake sensors and the results were remarkable – for the first time ever we ’ ve calibrated the impact of quakes down to a building-by-building analysis level .”
