Rimini Street enables Southern Cross Electrical Engineering to expand
Rimini Street , a global provider of enterprise software products and services , one of the leading third-party support providers for Oracle and SAP software products and a Salesforce partner , has announced that Southern Cross Electrical Engineering ( SCEE ) has switched to Rimini Street for support of its Oracle applications .
The agreement enables SCEE to better maintain its Oracle applications during a business expansion amidst an industry-wide IT skills shortage . In addition , the support from Rimini Street means SCEE has freed up budget and IT resources to focus on innovation and transformation projects which improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the entire organization .
“ An investment in enterprise software should drive a business forward , not hold it back ,” said Daniel Benad , Group Vice President and Regional General Manager , Oceania , Rimini Street .
“ Unfortunately for many organizations , annual maintenance fees from the vendor aren ’ t just expensive , but they drain valuable internal resources . These two factors conspire to constrict innovation in businesses across the globe , when maintenance and support should do the opposite and provide businesses with the flexibility and time to strategically develop their smart path forward .”
Daniel Benad , Group Vice President and Regional General Manager , Oceania , Rimini Street
SCEE is a leading electrical , instrumentation , communication and maintenance services company which has operated in Australia since 1978 . The organization is comprised of business units and acquisitions that span commercial , mining , industrial , utilities , transport and energy infrastructure , with a focus on decarbonization .
Transport for NSW selects Salesforce to create a single view of traffic through OneRoad
Salesforce , a global leader in CRM , announced it will underpin OneRoad , a new backend system for Live Traffic NSW being used by Transport for NSW .
OneRoad is a geospatial case management system , combining incident mapping capability with record management and reporting .
Transport and local councils can log incident information into the OneRoad platform in real-time or schedule them for a date in the future . OneRoad then rapidly feeds this data to the Transport for NSW Open Data Hub , which is then used by Live Traffic NSW and third-party navigation apps to allow the public to view updates quickly and visually .
For the first time , local councils are being invited to use this new platform to enter incident information on their own local roads . By inviting all 128 local councils in NSW to take advantage of this new technology , Live Traffic NSW will be able to display updated information on traffic conditions , incidents , hazards and major events on all roads in NSW . Having this information visible in a single place will be integral to providing fast and timely information , especially in the case of bushfires , floods and other emergencies .
The rollout of OneRoad to local councils will occur in stages . The first stage begins with 22 Local Government Areas ( LGA ) coming online .
