XL Axiata deploys Amdocs cloud software to enhance digital customer experience

As part of the deal , Amdocs modernized , automated and digitized XL Axiata ’ s operations for the post-paid and prepaid mobile consumers , with solutions from the cloudnative Amdocs Commerce and Care suite .
Furthermore , Amdocs consolidated multiple service monetization systems for XL ’ s enterprise and fixed-line customers , providing a single convergent solution for all lines of business , enabling efficient delivery of services and optimized IT spending .

Amdocs , a leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies , has announced the successful implementation and deployment of a multi-year Digital Transformation project at XL Axiata , one of Indonesia ’ s leading communications service providers .

This project , involving the migration of over 25 million of XL ’ s subscribers , enables XL to quickly launch new innovative digital services , deliver convergent offerings and provide an enhanced customer experience as well as support XL ’ s significant scale and performance needs .

AWS to launch infrastructure region in Thailand

Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) has announced plans to open an infrastructure region in Thailand .

The new AWS Asia Pacific ( Bangkok ) region will consist of three availability zones , adding to the existing 87 availability zones across 27 geographic regions .
The upcoming AWS region in Thailand will enable developers , start-ups and enterprises , as well as government , education and non-profit organizations , to run their applications and serve end-users from AWS data centers located in Thailand , ensuring customers who want to keep their data in Thailand can do so .
In addition , as part of its commitment to the region , AWS plans an estimated investment of more than US $ 5 billion ( 190 billion baht ) in Thailand over 15 years .
