Telekom Malaysia Berhad has announced an internal reorganization which transfers its business in Malaysia to a single operating entity named TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd ( TM Tech ) by a targeted date of December 31 , 2023 .
The reorganization – which includes Unifi , TM One and TM Wholesale , among others – marks the next phase of the group ’ s transformation to be the enabler of a digital Malaysia , and to further improve its operational efficiencies .
Incorporating its diverse businesses under TM Tech will also reinforce TM ’ s Fixed-Mobile Convergence leadership , offering integrated fixed broadband , mobile services , data services , digital content and innovative solutions to communities , businesses and the government .
Group CEO , Imri Mokhtar , said : “ Consolidating our suite of connectivity and digital offerings will also enable us to easily tap into the right combination of solutions to meet the unique needs of individual lifestyles and businesses .”
Tech Mahindra , a leading provider of Digital Transformation , consulting and business re-engineering services and solutions , and Digital Economy Promotion Agency ( Depa ), a government agency promoting development of digital industry and innovation , have signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) to accelerate Digital Transformation in Thailand . As a part of the partnership , both organizations will co-develop innovative digital solutions and execute commercially viable projects in areas of IoT , AI , 5G , Analytics , Blockchain and Metaverse for various industries including Smart Cities , Telecom , among others Rajesh Chandiramani , Business Head , Communications- Media-Entertainment for EMEA and APJI Markets , said : “ Our partnership with Depa will unlock immense potential for us to build , develop , and market innovative solutions for our customers in Thailand and support them in their Digital Transformation journey . We will also work towards diversifying the talent pool in the region through various skilling and upskilling initiatives on multiple technologies .”

Nxtra Data Limited ( Nxtra by Airtel ), a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel ( Airtel ), has started the construction of its new hyper-scale data center in Kolkata . The company will invest Rs 600 Cr in the development of the largest data center in East India that will serve the underserved markets of east and north-east regions along with the SAARC countries and fulfill the growing needs of enterprises and global cloud players . The 25 MW facility in New Town , Kolkata , will be fully operational by 2024 . In line with the company ’ s commitment to environment and its ambition to reach net zero by 2031 , the new center will be a green facility , sourcing clean energy for running its operations . Once ready , it will be Nxtra ’ s first large-scale facility in East India in addition to its already existing 12 large and 120 edge facilities across India .

Fujitsu Limited and SettleMint have entered a global strategic agreement to accelerate the Digital Transformation ( DX ) of the Fujitsu Enterprise Blockchain and Track and Trust Solutions . To kick-start co-creation activities , Fujitsu has made a strategic investment in SettleMint through a fund managed by its subsidiary Fujitsu Ventures Limited . Under the agreement , Fujitsu will use the SettleMint high-performance low code Blockchain platform for customers in Japan and globally as part of the solutions portfolio of Fujitsu Uvance Digital Shifts . Fujitsu will additionally provide professional services to help SettleMint customers develop and operate new systems , as well as modernize their existing systems . SettleMint and Fujitsu will work together to provide joint use cases , technology roadmaps and solutions drawing on the digital experiences and solutions from both companies , including traceability solutions , trusted data processing , analytics and advanced data transparency using Blockchain technology .
