Data silos threatening productivity and efficiency levels for nearly half of pharma businesses
to see data silos hinder internal collaboration efforts . More than half ( 53 %) of businesses with total annual revenues of more than US $ 1 billion said these silos derailed the efficiency of cross-functional collaboration in their organization versus 44 % for companies with annual revenue between US $ 50 million and US $ 249 million (£ 47 million- £ 224million ) and 47 % for companies with revenues between US $ 250 and US $ 999 million range , who said the same .
Nearly half ( 48 %) of senior decisionmakers working for drug development companies or manufacturers said data silos derailed the efficiency of cross-functional collaboration in their organization .
This was a key finding of research commissioned by Aspen Technology , which surveyed 400 global professionals with expertise in drug development or manufacturing to find out where drug manufacturing is heading in the next three to five years .

“ Information silos are often created by lack of connectivity between data sources across departments , which can hinder efficiencies across the product lifecycle ,” said Raman Bhatnagar , Vice President and General Manager at Aspen Technology . “ This is especially true when scaling up from drug design to commercial manufacture and then again when moving from production to quality assurance release .”
Digital Edge partners with NIIF and AGP to build pan-India data center platform
Digital Edge has entered into a partnership with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund ( NIIF ) and AGP DC InvestCo ( AGP ), to develop a pan-India portfolio of hyperscale data centers .
The facilities will operate under the brand name Digital Edge DC and intend to support the country ’ s ongoing Digital Transformation and provide much-needed capacity for the rapid growth of India ’ s cloud industry .
PUE ( Power Usage Effectiveness ) and WUE ( Water Usage Effectiveness ). Construction of the 47 acre site will commence in early 2023 and the facility will be built in multiple phases . Upon completion the data center will be fully operated by and marketed by Digital Edge DC . This marks Digital Edge ’ s entry into the Indian market , growing its platform to six countries across Asia . NIIF will leverage its local and operational expertise in developing platforms as well as its strong infrastructure investment experience and AGP , a sustainable-focused real assets manager , will bring on-theground real estate development and construction experience .
The partnership ’ s first project is a greenfield 300MW hyperscale facility in Navi Mumbai , which is the country ’ s biggest data center hub offering easy access to infrastructure , including power and fiber connectivity .
