TAIWAN
Singapore has invested close to S $ 300 million in a National Quantum Strategy ( NQS ).
Aetina , a leading-edge AI solutions provider , is showcasing smart city scenarios .
The NQS is intended to advance Singapore ’ s growing Quantum industry , strengthening the nation ’ s position as a leading hub in the development and deployment of quantum technologies over the next five years .
The showcase debuted at COMPUTEX 2024 in Taipei , demonstrating how edge AI drives advancements in smart city infrastructure using generative AI technology , particularly focusing on road and public facility management .
The NQS will focus on four funding initiatives , namely : The Centre for Quantum Technologies ( CQT ); the National Quantum Sensor Programme ; a New National Quantum Processor Initiative ( NQPI ) set up to enable Singapore to design and build its own practical quantum processor and the National Quantum Scholarships Scheme ( NQSS ) to develop Singapore ’ s talent pipeline in quantum research and development .
Aetina ’ s DeviceEdge series , featuring NVIDIA Jetson Orin modules , is pitched as offering ‘ unparalleled ’ AI compute , large , unified memory and comprehensive software stacks .
As a cited example , it could offer real-time status detection of traffic control equipment such as traffic signs , signals or hydrants , ultimately enhancing city management efficiency .

VIETNAM
SeABank and Visa have tightened their comprehensive cooperative partnership with a strategic cooperation agreement on developing digital payments .
This cooperation aims to accelerate SeABank ’ s payment services development strategy .
As the rapid transition from cash to digital payments in Vietnam opens many opportunities for card development , the expanded cooperation is expected to help SeABank break through – opening up opportunities towards the future of digital payment and contributing to the national digital transformation .

Lingnan University has signed agreements with Rizhao City and Shandong Hi-Speed Group to foster closer partnerships in green , low-carbon and AI development .
The collaborations aim to leverage each party ’ s unique strengths in talent , research and industry – further accelerating the growth of new technologies .
The strategic cooperation framework agreements mark an important milestone in Lingnan ’ s integration into national development , including the establishment of the Lingnan University-Shandong Research Institute .
