Nokia and SK Broadband have deployed a quantum secure network to protect Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power ’ s IT infrastructure .
Galaxy42 Group , a subsidiary of Atturra Limited , has has exchanged a Share Sale Agreement ( SSA ) to acquire ComActivity .
The deployment allows Korea Hydro and Nuclear Plant ( KHNP ) to leverage quantum-safe MACsec technology to better protect its IP MPLS leased line network .
Sydney-based ComActivity has a solid reputation in the ANZ region for providing innovative manufacturing solutions based on Infor ’ s M3 product suite and associated consulting services .
Nokia ’ s Quantum-Safe Network solution uses a defense-in-depth approach with advanced network cryptography for protection against sophisticated cyber threats .
This acquisition delivers 61 new clients to Atturra in the manufacturing sector and provides cross-sell opportunities for other Atturra services and products .
Kim Gooyoung , Head of Enterprise Sales Division at SK Broadband , said : “ The integration of Nokia Quantum-Safe MACsec cryptographic technologies with KHNP ’ s network will significantly enhance the security and reliability of South Korea ’ s critical energy infrastructure .”
Jay Han , Head of Network Infrastructure business at Nokia Korea , said : “ Protecting critical infrastructure is a hallmark of quantum-safe technology , and an area we understand well at Nokia . We look forward to working with SK Broadband to expand the use of our quantum-safe MACsec cryptographic technology throughout Korea .”
The acquisition will strengthen Atturra ’ s position as a market leader for enterprise resource planning ( ERP ) solutions in the manufacturing industry in Australia and New Zealand .

INDIA
Genasys , a global leader in Protective Communications , has announced a three-year , $ 3.35 million follow-on maintenance agreement for LRAD systems deployed by the Indian Navy . This is the third agreement under which the Indian Navy ’ s LRADs are serviced through Genasys at in-country maintenance centers .
Chris Roller , Genasys Vice President of APAC Business Development , said : “ The Indian Navy and other APAC naval forces are using LRADs extensively in anti-piracy , maritime security and economic zone enforcement operations . As regional tensions escalate over territorial waters , fishing stocks and disputed shoals , LRADs are providing essential communication and warning capabilities for de-escalating potential conflicts and saving lives .”

KDDI Corporation , parent company to Telehouse , has announced the availability of AWS Direct Connect Location at its Telehouse Osaka data center
Telehouse Osaka customers can now directly access over 240 AWS cloud services , including AWS ’ s generative AI via AWS Direct Connect .
Telehouse Osaka will be the first data center in Japan operated by a Japanese telecommunications company to provide a dedicated connection point to AWS Direct Connect
Takeyuki Yanagisawa , General Manager , Connectivity DC Planning Department , KDDI , said : “ The AWS Direct Connect Location at Telehouse Osaka allows for the creation of a secure and private link between AWS cloud services and our customers ’ IT systems within the data center . This setup significantly enhances throughput and ensures stability of our customers ’ networks .”
