Beat disruptions by increasing agility
Turbulence, volatility, uncertainty – these are words we’ ve got used to hearing over the past few years. For today’ s supply chains, disruptions are the norm, not the exception.
Take UK retailer Next, for instance. Back in 2024, its CEO warned that shipping delays from the Red Sea disruption was impacting its product availability. To combat this type of disruption, customers often had to pull planning forward to keep seasonal goods closer to key markets, which resulted in more congestion getting goods from country of origin to Europe.
