DE-CIX India becomes country’ s first IX platform to welcome Starlink

DE-CIX India has announced that Starlink has joined its interconnection ecosystem, making DE-CIX India the country’ s first Internet Exchange( IX) platform to provide interconnection for the Low-Earth Orbit( LEO) satellite technology.

With its commercial licence secured from India’ s Department of Telecommunications and final clearance anticipated by late
2025 or early 2026, Starlink is set to become an operational reality in the country.
The move has significant implications for both the satellite sector and the wider goals of Digital India.
Connecting remote, underserved areas
Throughput speeds of between 25 and 220 Mbps – with potential for more – make it possible to deliver true broadband-grade service, even in mountainous, rural, or island geographies that are beyond the reach of terrestrial infrastructure like fiber cabling. This aligns perfectly with DE-CIX’ s longstanding vision of combining satellite, fiber, mobile and peering to power inclusive, next-generation digital experiences.
But for satellite constellations to deliver on their promise, they need terrestrial resilience. In India and beyond, DE-CIX has consistently demonstrated that its interconnection infrastructure can meet the demands of hyperscale performance and resilience.
As players like Starlink enter the Indian market, the ability to rely on globally benchmarked uptime, compliance and interconnection standards is a recipe for long-term success when addressing the digital divide.

MoMo partners with iProov to strengthen digital fraud protection in Vietnam

iProov has partnered with top Vietnamese fintech MoMo to enhance protection against digital fraud.

MoMo becomes iProov’ s first partner in Vietnam by deploying Dynamic Liveness, a solution designed to secure remote identity verification and defend against advanced threats such as deepfakes and digital injection attacks.
The rise of generative AI has fueled a surge in fraud across the financial services sector. In response, the State Bank of Vietnam recently issued Decision 2345, requiring stronger biometric authentication for online transactions. By integrating iProov’ s Dynamic Liveness, MoMo is proactively aligning with these regulations and reinforcing its longstanding focus on digital trust.
iProov’ s patented Flashmark technology ensures that users are real, present and verified in real time, preventing fraudsters from using photos, videos or synthetic media to bypass security. This added protection is crucial in financial services, where safeguarding accounts and preventing unauthorized transactions are top priorities.
Pham Kim Long, Head of AI & Big Data, MoMo, said,“ At MoMo, trust is central to every decision we make. As threats evolve, we must strengthen our defenses. iProov’ s technology gives our users confidence that their accounts and transactions remain secure.”
Andrew Bud, Founder and CEO, iProov, said:“ MoMo is a leader in Vietnam’ s fintech market. By adopting Dynamic Liveness, it demonstrates a commitment to building secure digital ecosystems that foster financial inclusion.”
