HUAWEI sets new benchmark for smart in-car audio
Huawei recently welcomed media to its Shanghai Acoustics R & D Center for an inside look at the technology behind the
HUAWEI SOUND ULTIMATE Series.
Guests toured the labs and experienced the system in the Maextro S800 sedan, demonstrating its immersive blend of sight and sound.
Since 2012, Huawei has invested heavily in audio innovation, combining hardware engineering, software algorithms and artistic tuning by top sound engineers. With the Maextro S800 debuting the flagship ULTIMATE system, Chinese-developed in-car audio is competing with – and surpassing-many long-established global brands.
The HUAWEI SOUND ULTIMATE Series features 43 speakers in an ultra-surround configuration and 2920 W dual amplifiers for powerful sound. Rear 4D exciters synchronize vibrations with music and video, creating an immersive, seat-specific 4D experience.
A new Crystal Star-Ring Diffuser rises automatically with ambient lighting that moves in sync with the music, delivering 30 % greater sound uniformity. The Tangential Force Woofer rotates the door woofer by 90 degrees to reduce resonance and deepen bass, while the patented Dual-Diaphragm Subwoofer uses cabin space to achieve lowfrequency depth and impact.
Huawei’ s independent sound-zone technology achieves 30 dB isolation and 99 % energy separation between front and rear fields, allowing each row to enjoy distinct audio. With 10 overhead channels, adaptive sound field control and Huawei’ s spatial audio model, the system offers clearer, precise spatial reproduction.
HarmonyOS-powered ambience and AIdriven sound-to-light effects elevate the cabin. At the event, Chief Automotive Sound and Acoustics Advisor Lars Goller highlighted Huawei’ s goal of recreating the original recording through psychoacoustics, tuning and high-performance hardware.
Bank Central Asia wins 2025 Data Impact Award for modernizing ML infrastructure
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk( BCA), Indonesia’ s largest private bank, has been awarded a 2025 Cloudera Data Impact Award for its successful modernization of machine learning( ML) infrastructure and data operations.
Serving more than 33 million customers and generating over $ 2 billion in annual revenue, BCA relies heavily on advanced technology to support its scale. In recent years, however, the bank faced growing challenges including model degradation, slow manual deployments, inefficient virtual machine( VM) usage and limited monitoring.
To overcome these issues, BCA adopted Cloudera’ s on-premises and AI platforms, transforming its VM-based workflows into a scalable, centrally governed MLOps environment. Using Cloudera AI Workbench for experimentation and deployment, paired with Cloudera AI Registry for model versioning and monitoring, the bank embedded automated ML lifecycle management across its teams. CI / CD pipelines, continuous monitoring and automated retraining now enable faster, more reliable model delivery with stronger governance.
The modernization effort has significantly improved operational efficiency, reduced manual workloads and enhanced resource utilization. With its new ML infrastructure, BCA is positioned to continue serving its expanding customer base while capitalizing on new digital and social-driven growth opportunities.
“ At BCA, our vision was clear: to proactively modernize our infrastructure and overcome the constraints of fragmented VM deployments,” said Adhitya Bhaswara, Vice President of Data Management at BCA.“ Leveraging Cloudera AI, we’ ve built a robust, automated and governed ML platform that accelerates innovation, optimizes costs and unlocks new business opportunities at scale.”
