The strategic partnership is said to delivers cost efficiencies, vendor diversification and long-term investment protection for one of India’ s most critical telecom infrastructure providers.
Nokia’ s IP routing and optical transport technologies are being integrated seamlessly with RailTel’ s existing infrastructure to support growing demand for high-speed and resilient connectivity.
Nokia has announced the successful upgrade of RailTel’ s Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing National Long-Distance network, undertaken in collaboration with its authorised partners. As part of the project, Nokia has deployed Carrier- Grade NAT and metro optical transport network capabilities across India, strengthening RailTel’ s ability to deliver reliable services at scale.

These initiatives collectively address increasing bandwidth demand while driving operational efficiency and reducing overall network costs.
