CASE STUDY
With Control-M we can run secure, stable, efficient processes and flexibly integrate workflows across innovative new solutions, all while meeting the requirements of the financial industry.
How does Control-M help you address regulatory and compliance requirements in a highly controlled banking environment?
In a secure, stable and efficient manner, Control-M provides LINE Bank with a decentralised yet centralised management platform, enabling the stable execution of complex core banking workflows and meeting the security and compliance requirements of a highly regulated financial environment.
How do these improvements position LINE Bank Taiwan competitively within Taiwan’ s fastgrowing digital banking sector?
Implementing Control-M effectively reduces IT costs, enhances service delivery capabilities and significantly improves operational efficiency and business resilience. This allows LINE Bank to maintain its leading position in Taiwan’ s highly competitive digital banking sector.
You mentioned future integration with cloud and AI – what are the biggest challenges you anticipate in making the transition seamless?
The biggest challenge in a hybrid environment is how businesses can maintain their existing levels of control, security and operational consistency while adding new systems and data flows. In this regard, we believe Control-M’ s ability to flexibly integrate workflows can simplify the challenges of implementing AI solutions at LINE Bank.
What was the most challenging part of the transformation – technically or organisationally – and is there anything you’ d do differently if you were starting over?
The most challenging part lies in designing and coordinating the massive and complex workflows for a smooth transition. If we were to start over, we believe‘ starting early’ is paramount. This means investing more effort earlier in crossteam coordination, designing for standardised cloud and AI architectures, setting up new environments and introducing Control-M resources and efficient solutions.
Marcos Delgado, Vice President of International Sales, BMC, gave his take on the partnership.
From your perspective, what made LINE Bank Taiwan’ s transformation particularly complex and how did your solutions adapt to meet those challenges?
LINE Bank Taiwan represents the new generation of digital-first banks, where customer expectations around speed, availability and seamless digital experiences are extremely high. The challenge was not only delivering 24x7 operational resilience but also enabling the bank to innovate faster while managing increasingly complex hybrid application, data and approval workflows across the organisation.
With Control-M, we helped LINE Bank Taiwan modernise and automate critical banking processes end-to-end, reducing manual effort by 30 % and significantly improving operational efficiency. More importantly, the platform enabled faster product rollout cycles, stronger DevOps automation and greater system reliability across siloed environments. Our vision is that workflow orchestration is becoming a strategic layer for digital banks, connecting applications, data, AI and operations into a single intelligent and resilient operational fabric.
How are platforms like Control-M evolving to support the growing demand for cloud, data pipelines and AI-driven workloads in highly regulated industries like banking?
The market is rapidly evolving towards AIdriven operations, but in banking, innovation must happen with governance, resilience and trust at the core. Platforms like Control-M are evolving from traditional workload automation into intelligent orchestration platforms for cloud, DataOps and AI-driven hybrid environments that support business-critical workloads.
At BMC, we are embedding AI capabilities and expanding integrations across modern cloud, data and AI ecosystems to help banks automate complex workflows, accelerate operations and maintain full visibility, compliance and resilience. We see orchestration becoming the backbone that enables trusted AI adoption at scale in highly regulated industries. In the AI era, orchestrating business processes across hybrid environments and diverse technologies can be a challenge and this is one of the reasons enterprises turn to BMC. •
