Presight and the City of Almaty partner to advance AI-enabled urban infrastructure

Presight, a global leader in applied AI for intelligent systems, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding( MOU) with the City of Almaty to support the development of next-generation urban infrastructure and accelerate the city’ s Digital Transformation.

The agreement, signed by Thomas Pramotedham, Chief Executive Officer of Presight, and Darkhan Satybaldy, Mayor( Akim) of Almaty, establishes a structured framework for collaboration focused on designing and deploying intelligent systems across the city’ s core infrastructure.
“ This partnership opens up new opportunities to further develop Almaty as a modern and technologically advanced metropolis,” said Darkhan Satybaldy, Mayor of Almaty.“ The adoption of AIbased solutions will enhance the efficiency of urban management and improve the quality of life for residents.” is about creating a unified operating layer for the city, where intelligence is embedded directly into how systems function.”
Under the MOU, Presight and the City of Almaty will define a joint roadmap to design and implement intelligent urban systems, including system architecture, feasibility assessments and deployment models required for scaled execution.
The collaboration will explore the deployment of integrated solutions across urban mobility, public safety and municipal services. This includes intelligent transport systems, digital platforms for public services and the development of real-time city management and situational command centres powered by data and AI.
“ Our work in Kazakhstan reflects a long-term commitment to building intelligent systems at national and city scale,” said Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight.“ In Almaty, we are moving beyond digitalisation towards integrated urban infrastructure, anchored by sovereign AI capabilities, including a data centre designed to power real-time city operations. Transpak and Ace Pillar reveal intelligent palletising system for smart logistics automation

Facing growing labour shortages and increasingly complex high-mix logistics demands, Transpak has revealed its Intelligent Mixed-Load Palletizing System with parent company, Ace Pillar. The innovative solution helps manufacturers improve handling efficiency, reduce manual workloads and enhance operational flexibility across modern manufacturing and logistics environments.

Developed in collaboration with Ace Pillar, the system integrates high-speed strapping, AI-powered visual recognition and robotic palletising technologies to address common challenges in mixed-load identification and heavy-load handling, enabling smarter and more flexible logistics automation workflows on-site. to ensure superior load stability during transportation. Equipped with a 35kg payload capacity, the TM30S palletising robot, integrated with Ace Pillar’ s 2D / 3D AI dual-vision technology, accurately identifies and handles mixed-size materials, enabling a seamless end-toend automation process from high-speed packaging to precision palletising.
This marks Transpak’ s strategic expansion from standalone equipment manufacturing towards integrated logistics automation solutions, with capabilities spanning both palletising and depalletising applications. By incorporating Ace Pillar’ s proprietary automatic strap-cutting depalletising technology together with intelligent vision systems, the solution enhances production-line responsiveness and automation efficiency.
The collaboration aims to support manufacturers in accelerating smart transformation amid ongoing labour shortages while advancing a humancentric smart factory vision powered by automation technologies.
At the core of the solution is the TP-702BH high-speed fully automatic strapping machine, delivering throughput of up to 65 bundles per minute, together with the TP-733VTS Zelos pallet strapping machine
