Corsearch joins landmark Philippines MOU as it aims to proactively stop fakes online
Corsearch is strengthening its role in the fight against counterfeits and online trademark infringement with its recent accession as a signatory to the E-Commerce Memorandum of Understanding.
As a market leader in trademarks and brand protection, Corsearch was invited to become a signatory MOU following recognition by IPOPHL of its significant contribution in helping proactively prevent IP, T & Cs and Regulatory violations going live, using its recently launched AI-native solution, Corsearch Visual Authentication Network( CVAN).
The E-Commerce MOU in the Philippines, led by the IPOPHL, is a voluntary agreement that brings together over 100 major e-commerce platforms, brand owners, industry groups and foreign chambers to combat counterfeiting. This includes Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop and
Zalora. These platforms commit to rapid notice-and-takedown procedures and proactive monitoring of counterfeit goods.
“ This radical collaboration, spearheaded by the IPOPHL, enables platforms and rights holders to align their efforts and for the e-commerce industry it represents the era of transition from reactive takedowns to proactive ecosystem protection,” said Pietro Gagliano, Director of Corsearch LABS.

Platforms are using the MOU to work together, innovating and scaling up their systems to detect and remove counterfeits far more effectively.
