Editor’ s Note
Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent CIO APAC, bringing you a roundup of some of the most inspiring tech developments from across the region this past month.
Sutrisno Yao, Head of IT at VIVERE Group, features on the cover, and on page 14 you can read about how the Indonesia-based integrated interior and furnishing solutions provider worked with Rimini Street to advance its capabilities.
Yao provides detailed insight into why he selected Rimini Street, noting he felt the software support and Agentic AI ERP company offered the right balance of stability, expertise and flexibility.
He goes on to discuss the cost savings experienced, as well as the expert SAP support, freedom and capacity to advance transformation on VIVERE Group’ s own terms. In addition, Yao sheds light on what the future holds and how the company plans to get there.
Alix Pressley Head of Content APAC
Talking Point, on page 18, provides a snapshot of findings from Nile’ s new research report, The State of Networking, Security & AI in Financial Services. The global survey gathered insights from 322 IT, security and risk professionals and reveals an industry under pressure; balancing security threats and regulatory demands against the need to control rising network costs.
On page 24, CIO Manu Narayan of GitLab argues that the APAC region has already won the AI adoption race. He believes that the differentiator now is not the scale of spend but the operating model beneath it.
Providing his expert opinion, on page 35, is Dylan Winik, CEO of Oceania at Nayax. He discusses where the greatest value of AI lies in terms of how much distance it closes between analysing data in its simplest form and making a confident decision.
Whether you’ re planning your next modernisation move, making the case for AI investment or working out where your people fit in, there’ s plenty in this issue to get the cogs turning. As always, I’ d love to hear what you think and if you’ ve got a story from your own organisation worth telling, please don’ t hesitate to get in touch.
