Boomi unveils the Australian findings of its Data Liquidity Index Study

Boomi has unveiled the Australian findings of its Data Liquidity Index Study ,

The survey , conducted by Hanover Research identified gaps in liquidity as Australian companies battle challenges with data privacy / security and data quality / accuracy .
According to the report , 80 % of Australian organisations identify data integration as at least a high priority . Currently , 76 % of respondents stated their companies are ‘ very ’ or ‘ extremely ’ integrated , with the remaining 24 % ‘ moderately ’ integrated .
“ Data integration continues to be a critical pillar for Australian companies ; bringing data together , wrapping the appropriate protocols around it , and leveraging it to improve operations and services drive competitive advantage ,” said David Irecki , CTO for Asia- Pacific and Japan , Boomi .
“ Achieving this state is only becoming more important as AI strategies move from early planning to deployment – the right foundation is essential to ensure these complex automated and generative capabilities are introduced compliantly and without risk .”
The report found 75 % of Australian companies see data liquidity as at least a high current priority .
Responsibility for data liquidity is heavily shared across multiple departments , including offices of CTOs , CIOs , CEOs and COOs .
Major roadblocks to liquidity were identified as managing data privacy / security ( 56 %), ensuring data quality / accuracy ( 41 %) and the cost of data management tools ( 36 %).
Despite Australia ’ s ongoing talent shortage , only 18 % of respondents stated a lack of skilled personnel in data analytics as a challenge .
The study surveyed 100 Australian decision makers across various business functions at organisations with annual revenues of more than US $ 300 million .

SkyDrive and Osaka Metro unveil plans for a future eVTOL network

SkyDrive , a leading eVTOL aircraft manufacturer based in Japan , and Osaka Metro propose eVTOL routes connecting four key destinations in Osaka .

Market research has already identified the identified areas as critical hubs for the city ’ s future mobility network .
SkyDrive and Osaka Metro plan to launch services in the Morinomiya area of the city by around 2028 , before working to gradually expand operations through 2030 and beyond .
In August 2024 , SkyDrive and Osaka Metro signed an agreement to jointly explore the commercialization of eVTOL services in Osaka in the years following the Osaka World Expo 2025 .
SkyDrive and Osaka Metro will continue to collaborate closely with the government , Osaka Prefecture and the Osaka City authorities , as well as other relevant organizations and business partners , to bring these commercial services to market .
Key areas of focus include finalizing vertiport locations and completing the further studies required to establish flight routes .
SkyDrive and Osaka Metro also plan to roll out a phased expansion of these services , first into the surrounding suburbs and into the greater Kansai region .
Osaka Metro established an eVTOL Promotion Office and the two companies have worked together to assess market demand , potential takeoff and landing locations and other factors affecting the commercial feasibility of an eVTOL business .
These efforts culminated in the unveiling of the planned Osaka Diamond Routes which form a core part of the initial concept for future eVTOL operations .
