SOUTH KOREA
IonQ has signed an MoU with the Busan Metropolitan Government in South Korea highlighting a commitment to mutual cooperation in nurturing talent and advancing quantum technology .
Under the terms of the MOU , IonQ plans to provide quantum computing cloud services , support the planning and execution of joint quantum initiatives , and contribute to the workforce and economic development of South Korea . In turn , the Busan Metropolitan Government will help create an environment conducive to the growth of the quantum technology sector .
“ We are excited to collaborate with IonQ to enhance Busan ’ s status as a leading technology hub and establish it as a global destination for advancements in quantum computing ,” said Park Heong-joon , Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City .
“ Through this partnership , we aim to unlock new opportunities in sectors like logistics and finance , further cementing Busan ’ s role at the forefront of technological innovation .”
