Check Point Software Technologies expands Australian presence

Check Point Software Technologies, a leader in cybersecurity, has announced the implementation of a new Western Australia data residency instance of Check Point Workplace Security SASE.

The move reinforces the organisation’ s commitment to enabling secure customer digital transformation while addressing Australia’ s data privacy, sovereignty and compliance requirements. The new Western Australia presence further underscores Check Point’ s elevated, long-term commitment to supporting enterprise and government organisations across Western Australia, providing them with locally hosted, secure and compliant cybersecurity services tailored to their operational and regulatory needs.
The new site in Perth complements existing Check Point Point of Presence( PoP) instances in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. At the same time, it supports public and private sector enterprises in Western Australia with local performance and residency requirements for local storage and processing of data to protect privacy, reduce operational risk and ensure compliance to legislation, including the SOCI Act, Privacy Act, My Health Records Act, APRA CPS 234 and the ASD Essential Eight.
The Perth Workplace Security SASE PoP is built with redundancy and autoscaling to ensure uninterrupted service. Highavailability clusters, a true hybrid mesh architecture, AI-powered operations backed by Check Point ThreatCloud AI, and secure tunnels provide multiple alternate paths for traffic, ensuring no single point of failure. A key feature is its capacity to proactively block threats such as malware, phishing and anomalous behaviour while providing deep visibility and control over cloud applications. A single-pane-of-glass interface streamlines policy enforcement, monitoring and reporting across the enterprise, data centre and cloud; delivering stronger on-device security and a better end-user experience.
